This was my first build of a Tamiya model so it will be interesting to compare with other brands.
Some say this kit is inferior to more recent Tamiya models. It was first released in 1982 and I guess mine is from that original release.
At a very reasonable £13.00 well i'll just judge for myself.
In the end I enjoyed making the model. Yes, it is very basic and not hugely challenging but a good starting point for working at 1:48. It did offer moving thruster's but this flimsy mechanism just didn't work after construction. Nice touch with the removable inspection flap for the engine.
