This recent (2016) model from Airfix will fit neatly into my WWII fighters collection. This one has a particularly attractive scheme with the thunder flashes and desert camo.

The panelling detail is particular nice. Airfix have really improved this aspect of the models in recent years and very welcome it is too.
Whilst trawling the net for research on this project I came across this image of Sergeant Pilot F H Dean - the actual pilot depicted in the model.
'Of the 14,533 production Hurricanes built, some had gone for service with other air forces. In particular, nearly 3,000 were dispatched to the Soviet Union to aid its fight against the Germans on the Eastern Front.'
