Race Rules

Anyone is welcome to join me on the trails. To count as an "official" participant, you need to complete 5 miles of trails, between the hours of 5am and 10pm (the park is officially closed at night), at Lake of the Woods each day. When running Tuesday-Friday, you cannot accumulate miles from 8am-5pm (hence the name "working man's edition" for this year). Miles must be reported to the race organizer (Chris) within 24 hours. Race progress can be tracked on this web site or my blog daily during the event. People can start and stop as they please. The full 5-mile trail loop does not need to be completed to count--any portion or variation of the 5-mile loop counts--but using the bike path does not count. Decisions as to what does or does not count, and any other rules, are at the discretion of the race organizer. I'll keep the web site updated with current rules. You may want to check out the FAQ section too.

Since this is not an official event, there is no official registration and no formal liability waiver. Essentially this is just a fun run. Participate at your own risk. Don't push yourself too hard. Eat, drink, protect yourself from the elements, and seek medical attention when necessary. Good luck!

Remember, this is a self-supported fun run. Bring all the

food, drink, & supplies you think you'll need. You are on your own.

Please abide by all Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve rules.
