Biography

Yi Zheng is currently a research scientist in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan (Umich). He received his B.S. and M.S. both in Mechanical Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2007 and 2010. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2014. His research interests include:

• Stem cell-based human development models

• Microengineered organ models (organoids)

• Single cell genomics

• Biomimetic microenvironment for disease modeling

• Mechanobiology
