Photographing Michigan Native Orchids

My goal of photographing all the Michigan Native Orchids was completed in 2013. When I set this goal, in 2003, I never thought that it would be as difficult to accomplish as it turned out to be. But each year brought new hope of marking some more off the list. The journeys have taken me to locations I never thought I'd be, new friends were made and memories of amazing occurances. Best of all, it has been an experience that both my wife and I have been able to share together.

The remaining species is considered a historical record and not been seen in Michigan for years.
