Metro Debate Leagues 2018

Add Headings and they will appear in your table of contents.

ALL: PLEASE READ THE NOTES AND SAMPLE BALLOT ON PAGES 1 AND OF THIS DOCUMENT. IT IS IMPERATIVE JUDGES ARE NAMING AND VOTING ON ISSUES IN THE ROUND! THANK YOU FOR SHARING WITH ALL YOUR JUDGES.

Ballots. (The pretty cover will be added later. Ballots are in order by the schematic.)

A few notes:

  1. Please fill out ballots - team name and number, date, round #, etc.
  2. Please write a basis of decision on ballots. PLEASE!! List issues in the round, the actual substance of the argument, how they interact with the other issues, and how you voted on them. Thank you for being willing to reflect and grow as judges.
  3. This is a collection of ballots only. Several are under ballots review. Points are only final once tabroom accounts for any potential issues.
  4. Please use the ballots from your rounds with your students only. Providing all the ballots is a courtesy - please do not misuse them with your students. Civility matters. Integrity matters.
  5. Thank you for continuing to revise and update ballots for educational feedback. Tabroom appreciates your willingness to reflect. Please also remember the ethics forms guides your feedback and participation. Please provide helpful feedback.
  6. Eligibility reminders: Some Michigan tournaments allow for some dispensation for students with 5 or less debates. State/National - first year of debate is your novice year. Anything beyond that, is jv, varsity, or open. Open doesn’t mean varsity - it means more than novice. As a practice at leagues, you need permission from tab if someone is to compete a second year in novice. Written permission. If you have questions regarding eligibility, please bring to tab. There will be a form everyone fills out.
  7. As always thank you for your dedication to debate.
