PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Associate Professor of Research Methodology at the Department of Psychology, University of Cyprus (2023- ). Assistant Professor (2018-2023). Lecturer (2013-2018) [My website at ucy.ac.cy]
Before coming to the University of Cyprus I was an Assistant Professor at the European University Cyprus (2006-13), and an Associate Psychometrician at the College Board in New York (2003-05).
I held visiting or adjunct appointments at the University of Cyprus (2010-11), the Open University of Cyprus (2007-12), and at New York University (2004). During my doctoral studies (1999-2003) I worked as a Research Assistant at Stanford University, and at the American Institutes for Research in Palo Alto CA , and as an Intern at Measured Progress in Dover NH.

Awarded the Richard M. Wolf Memorial Award for outstanding paper by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement IEA, for the paper "Negative Keying Effects in the Factor Structure of TIMSS 2011 Motivation Scales and Associations with Reading Achievement" published in Applied Measurement in Education [UCY announcement].
Open-access book published by IEA and Springer: Motivational Profiles in TIMSS Mathematics. Co-authored with Gavin Brown, Hanna Eklöf, and Elena Papanastasiou.
42nd Annual Conference of the International School Psychology Association, ISPA2021, in Nicosia. I was the chairperson for Scientific Matters and editor of the conference proceedings.
