Atomic and Laser Physics Lab
The journey of the Physics Department in Aliah University has been started in 2009. In 2014, the Department along with other departments shifted to the newly constructed campus at New Town, Kolkata. To start the experimental research work in this new campus, initially it was a challenge for the faculty members. But with the huge support and cooperation of my colleagues, administrative staffs and students, I have been able to start the SERB-DST funded project and developed an experimental lab "Atomic and Laser Physics Lab (ALP Lab)". There was so many constraints at the initial phase, like foreign purchase of the Project Instruments, AC in the room, proper a.c. line voltage and few others. Till now there are few constraints, but we are trying to move forward. Few photos can give an idea of the ongoing progress of the ALP Lab in Aliah University.
