Statistical Mechanics (MSc, Full Paper): [Course contents:- (i) Fundamentals of statistical mechanics, (ii) Microcanonical, canonical and grand canonical ensembles, (iii) Quantum Statistics, (iv) Ising model, (v) Ideal Fermi and Bose gases, (vi) Landau theory of phase transition, (vii) Correlation of space-time dependent fluctuations, fluctuations and transport phenomena, Brownian motion, Langevin theory, etc]

Statistical Mechanics (BSc Hons, Full Paper): [Course contents:- (i) Basic probability concepts, (ii) Statistical descriptions of systems of particles, (iii) Basic principles of statistical mechanics, phase space, Ensemble theory, Liouville's theorem, Gibbs paradox, etc (iv) Classical statistical mechanics, (v) Motivations for quantum statistics, (vi) Application of quantum statistics, (vii) MB, BE and FD distributions.]
