Formats

MGA event scoring is based on individual play, partner play or 3 man team play.  Partner selection is made by the members (their choice) and is known as “pick your partner”.  3 man teams are an ABC format where players are selected by the pro shop based on handicaps (A is lowest, C is highest and B is in the middle).

An individual may ask the pro shop to help find them a partner and they are pleased to do so.

USGA rules are used in all events including 14 club rule.  All putts must be made unless it will not count in a 2 or 3 man team event.

Individual, partnerships or team play have different formats during the year.  The file following helps explain some of the formats.

Should a member have a suggestion of their favorite event please pass it on to the tournament committee.
