Beekeepers

Yes, we have bees... millions of them!

Cliff Hamilton leads the push; however he just does what Bruce tells him!

Cliff is usually in on Fridays a.m. & Bruce comes in when needed.

It's a fascinating hobby; every little bee lasts just about three weeks. We take sample working frames into schools (behind perspex of course!!) - which is a nice way to spread what we do in the shed & to intrigue the kids. It's also a really good program to help school kids recognise the Shed as part of their learning community.

Honey is harvested each year, and is available to members. Last 'season' about 40 kgs of honey was collected.

As with all produce, make a donation & take your pick. Making the donation covers our obligations as a recognised charity; taxation rules require nobody in a 'charitable' organisation can 'benefit financially or in kind' from locally produced product. Gold coin in the tin in the smoko room is the go.
