March 15th In need of a treat? Can't afford a massage?
While many people are struggling to make ends meet, others are lucky enough to have money to spare. If you're one of the lucky ones, why not celebrate your good fortune and the arrival of spring with a couple of hours of indulgence and treat yourself to a different kind of massage experience. You may still be stressed with work, family, relationships, etc., or have physical issues that I might address, and a massage can help you to find a way through to a better state of mind or body.
If you're one of those struggling with stress because of a shortage of money, you'd get huge benefits from a massage but it will feel like a luxury item and probably be at the bottom of your list of priorities. Please don't let that put you off contacting me. I'm not trying to make a living through massage, so am happy to negotiate with someone in need, and genuinely short of money, because I like to help and I'm certain that you need your money more than I do.

The weather forecast for the coming week shows temperatures never above 14 degrees, with winds gusting over 30mph every day! If you're fed up with waiting for warmth and your muscles are tight after a long, cold and stressful winter, a visit to my massage room could be just what you need. The conditions here are always warm and calm. A place where total relaxation can be found.

If your body, mind or emotions have suffered with tension due to the threat of Covid infection or the social restrictions, it’s likely that massage will be therapeutic on various levels. Now that close-contact services are permitted again, most massage therapists are taking bookings and I recommend that you contact yours. A massage could be as uplifting and better for your wellbeing than a visit to the hairdresser!
What I offer is rather different to most in several ways. I provide a longer treatment, usually about 2 hours, in a more relaxing environment of a Swedish-style wooden cabin warmed by a wood-burning stove. I have the maturity to understand and empathise with many of the problems underlying emotional tension, the tactile skills to locate and address muscular tension without inflicting pain, and the sensitivity to interpret the response to my touch, adjusting the massage as appropriate. I hope that these combine to provide a more complete holistic therapy that will leave you floating in a state of calm, total relaxation. Two hours of attention devoted entirely to your wellbeing is something that most people have never experienced, and it can be very moving. Of course, it doesn’t suit everyone, but if you think that you might like to give it a try, please have a look at the other pages of this website and feel free to contact me to make an appointment or if you have any questions. I can be available during the day or evening to suit you, and I don’t fill my days with appointments so you won’t be hurried out of the door when you’re feeling that you’d just like to be still for a while.

At last the Government says it's fine to provide massage therapy again. More importantly though, the infection rate in our area is really low, I've had my vaccination, and feel confident to be with clients to give therapy again.
If you feel it is time to break away from the winter with it's lack of human contact, and are equally comfortable with the situation now, I'm available for appointments so please get in touch. I'll do my best to help you bloom again, de-stressed and re-energised, ready for a positive springtime.
