Students and teachers recognize that learning goes far beyond the confines of the academic calendar and campus. A great way to learn and collaborate is to develop a Personal Learning Network (PLN). Social media sites such as blogs, LinkedIn and Twitter allow students and professionals to collaborate, share best practices, knowledge and skills. Twitter provides an excellent forum for teachers from around the globe to connect with other professionals and classrooms. Twitter chats are a lively forum for discussing best practices, classroom management, proficiencies, assessments, etc.
