Mandarin Class
Mission Statement
Our Mandarin class is a non -selective independent (Voluntary) class that welcomes children aged 3 to 5 years from all backgrounds, faiths, and abilities. Our philosophy is rooted in Buddhist principles to instil and develop the core virtue of kindness, filial respect, trustworthiness, fairness, integrity and humanity in children while learning Mandarin. In addition, through the practice of mindfulness, the class aims to cultivate wisdom, reflection and compassion in children so as to help them unlock their full potential.
Overview of Learning Activities
The learning activities will provide your child with the opportunity to be mindful in reflecting and developing ethical qualities through learning and speaking in Mandarin. The class activities include:
One-minute meditation to develop mindfulness, concentration and attention skills
Musical activities to enhance self-esteem and promote social interactions
Reading and listening to promote communication skills and verbal development
Painting to encourage expression of feelings and personal confidence
Address: Mont Albert North, Victoria 3129 (will be provided after registration)
Date: Starting from 3rd Sept (every Saturday)
Time: 3 to 4pm
Cost: Free of charge
Preparation: BYO stationeries
