This class is designed to be equivalent to a first-year college general chemistry course. This class is also designed for students who have already taken one year of high school chemistry. As such, students will be required to commit to their work both inside and outside of the classroom. As recommended by the College Board, students should spend at least five hours a week of individual study outside of the classroom.
This course will cover the following broad topics:
1. Structure of Matter
2. States of Matter
3. Reactions
4. Descriptive Chemistry
5. Laboratory
6. Chemical Calculations
On this page, you will find many links and resources that you can access to help you with your studies. Some of the sites will have practice problems, notes, videos, and even games. These are all here to help you make more sense and connections of the things we are learning in class.
