Dear Colleague,
you are invited to attend the first International Symposium Trends in Medical Language Teaching and Learning organized by the Modern Language Department of The University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Tirgu Mures, Romania.
The event, besides covering a specific gap in the broader ESP field, is intended to represent a springboard for the creation of an international network, likely to conduct to future cooperation, sharing of best practices and peer learning in a scarcely-documented but exploratory-rich field of medical language teaching and learning.
Proposals for paper presentations, workshops, posters are invited in the following sections:
Communicative language teaching/learning
Curricular development
Assessment
Applied linguistics
Medical language teaching in the digital age
Teacher training and quality assurance
Other relevant areas

Publication opportunities
Papers will be peer-reviewed. All accepted papers for conference presentation will be published in a volume (ISBN), by University Press (CNCSIS accredited).
Important information:
Abstract submission: September 15, 2015
Submission of paper in extenso: September 30th, 2015
Notification of acceptance: October 5, 2015
Symposium fee: 60 Euro/200 Ron by October 12, 2015 (early bird rate); On-site payment and after October 12: 75 Euro
The fee entitles you to the conference package, certificate of participation, a copy of the conference volume, refreshments.
