(+) Rachel Cho (Home country: Malaysia) - year 5 - Viva scheduled February 2023. Joint supervision with Prof. Omar Licandro, School of Economics, University of Nottingham. Rachel is interested in financial development and economic performance. 

(+) Hyunkang Lim (Home country: South Korea) - year 2 Joint supervision with Dr. Rahul Mukherjee, School of Economics, University of Nottingham. Hyunkang is interested in macroprudential policy in small open economies.

(+) Selim Elbadri (Home country: UK/Egypt) - year 1 Joint supervision with Dr. Juan 'Nacho' Vizcaino, School of Economics, University of Nottingham. Selim is interested in the role of the service sector in the context of structural transformation

(+) Juergen Amann (Home country: Austria)  - completed viva (minor corrections) in November 2022 Joint supervision with Prof. Steve Leybourne, School of Economics, University of Nottingham. Now at the OECD, Paris.
Juergen's interests include the debt-growth nexus, micro for macro (scanner data and inflation), and energy and productivity in LICs/MICs

(+) Yoocheol Noh (Home country: South Korea)  - completed viva (minor corrections) in November 2021 Joint supervision with Dr. Margarita Rubio, School of Economics, University of Nottingham. Now at the Bank of Korea, Seoul.
Yoocheol is interested in macro and monetary economics, in particular the implications of foreign bank branches

(+) Geoffrey Chapman (Home country: South Africa) - completed viva (minor corrections) in October 2018 Joint supervision with Prof. Chris Milner, School of Economics, University of Nottingham. Now at the UK Department for International Trade.
Geoffrey is interested in the optimal design of regional economic arrangements (esp. trade agreements).

(+) Lionel Roger (Home country: Germany) - completed viva (no corrections) on 26th April 2018 Joint supervision with Prof. Oliver Morrissey, School of Economics, University of Nottingham. Now at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development of Zimbabwe.
Roger is interested in applying time series and panel time series methods to the question of aid effectiveness.

(+) Donneil Cain (Home country: Jamaica) - completed viva (no corrections) on 29th March 2017 Joint supervision with Dr. Patrick Marsh, School of Economics, University of Nottingham. Now at the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre, Belize.
Donneil is interested in the trade gravity model, with a special focus on the Caribbeans.

(+) Soumyatanu Mukherjee (Home country: India) - completed viva (minor corrections) on 21st October 2015 Joint supervision with Prof. Oliver Morrissey, School of Economics, University of Nottingham. Now at the Southampton Business School,
Soumyatanu is researching structural change in Indian states.

(+) Jianan Li 李嘉楠 (Home country: China) - completed viva (minor corrections) on 16th July 2014 Joint supervision with Prof. Stephen Morgan, Dean of Social Science, University of Nottingham Ningbo China (on secondment), and Professor of Chinese Economic History, University of Nottingham. Now at Xiamen University. Title: "Grain Trade and Market Integration in China's Qing Dynasty"
