We want to send our children into the world with solid gold values that cannot be destroyed. But that is not an easy task.
It calls for parents to prepare their children fo rthe journey. If our child were going to camp, we would not just shove them empty-handed out the door with a cheery "have a good time." We would send them out prepared by packing a backpack or suitcase with all the things they would need. And if we weren't sure, we would ask other parents or the camp what was needed.
For parents it is the same, or should be the same, when your child leaves home. What do they need to accomplish what they are going after?
But in packing for life and forgetting to instill godly morals and values only sets them up to fail.
Not knowing truth or how to handle money, or how to be faithful, loving, and kind will lead to destruction. What will it gain a person to gain the world and lose his or her soul?
Parents, do your job now while they are home. It is easier thantrying to clean up the mess later.
