Masters and UG Projects
I can supervise projects in the following areas:
Deep learning applied to images particularly medical images.
Deep learning applied to engineering data, such as time series from Wind farms.
Programming the IBM quantum computer for eigensolvers.
Analysis of data from graphene biosensors. This will use a machine learning technique called Gaussian processes.
Below are some of the projects I have supervised at the University of Plymouth.
Past Masters projects
Projects as part of MSc Data Science and Business Analytics.
2017-2018 The relationship between the life satisfaction of the citizen in European countries and their academic level
2018-2019 Using machine learning models to classify and detect avian wildlife around wind farms using time-lapse images.
2018-2019 The use of machine learning to study the performance of wind farms.
2019-2020 A comparison of machine learning methods for the prediction of locational crime rates
2019-2020 Applying Convolutional Neural Networks to Medical Image Analysis
Past Undergraduate Projects
I have mostly supervised 1 semester long group projects.
2019-2020 Analysis of Broadband Data (Project based on data from BT research)
2019-2020 Advanced visualiztion in the Immersive Vision Theater.
2019-2020 The power of quantum computing. (Using the IBM quantum computer.)
