US History 11 aims to break down American history into four distinct topics, all centered around the concept of foreign relations. The United States has built its history around the growth and re-invention of their relationships on a global level, and this course aims to describe how the policies and allies we have today were created. The course breaks down into four quarters as follows:
QUARTER 1: American Messianism and the creation of the American Identity
QUARTER 2: Manifest Destiny and the Native American Wars of the 19th Century
QUARTER 3: From Isolationist to Superpower
QUARTER 4: Counter-culture and the Modern American State
