A fun shooter with lots of weapons, enemies, powerups, and levels! I played this game for many hours.
Another 2d game but with some platforming (no velocity or forces though). This one had a great level editor which I used a lot to make my own levels and even do some basic scripting! (my earliest memory of programming experience)
My first immersive 3d experience! (on wikipedia this game is credited as the first real first person shooter) This took me a long time to learn how to play because it is a bit like a flight sim, but I can thank this game for teaching me how to navigate 3d environments with a mouse and keyboard at a very early age. And it was scary when I was little!
Didn't know what I was getting myself into when I asked my parent's to get me this game when I was young, but I am very glad I did! It was really hard but I loved the art and I got some of the puzzles. Exploring was very interesting too.
Fun puzzle game I played on our old PowerMac
I think I was in 3rd grade when pokemon cards became huge and I got a gameboy pocket with pokemon yellow edition. I played this under my bedcovers with a worm light. This is probably the first game that caused me sleep deprivation.
This was my favorite game during adolescence (age 10 - 21). It felt like modern chess to me and I was pretty good at it, but not really close to pro-gamer level. I liked to watch the pros and I liked to do ladder in sc2 and was high-diamond to low-masters level as zerg. I also credit the scbw level editor trigger system with getting me into programming.
Played tons of multiplayer. Loved the fast-paced twitchy reaction shooting experience.
