UHF antenna - some trick

At the HAM meeting meeting, a colleague brought some commercial ( not possible to open) antenna for 460 MHz. For tune it down a little, we used a trick - approached the metal part (ALU pipie) to the antenna housing. As you can see the effects are quite interesting :-). Unfortunately, this method is not "permanent" - noise because the central antenna element changes its position in the housing of fiberglass. However, here you can see a very interesting effect.

Unfortunately I forgot to save the measurement to the factory antenna resonance at 459 MHz @ SWR 1:1.1 Z = 49 ohm Xs = ~ 4om...

MAX6 was "read" using bluetooth :-)

Na spotkanie w Kampiosie kolega przywiózł nierozbieralną komercyjną antena na 460 MHz. By ją przestroić trochę w dół użyliśmy pewnej sztuczki - zblizyliśmy metalowy element (rurkę ALU) do obudowy anteny. Jak widac efekty sa całkiem ciekawe :-). niestety ta metoda nie jest stabilna - poniewać środkowy element anteny zmienia swoje położenie w obudowie z włókna szklanego. NIemniej jednak widać tutaj bardzo ciekawy efekt.
