I spearheaded the design and development of PrepPartner, an evolving resource hub created to fill critical gaps in writing instruction during our district’s transition to Amplify CKLA. When teachers in testing grades expressed concern that the program wasn’t preparing students for the writing component of state assessments, I recognized the root issue wasn’t content coverage - it was the lack of structured writing practice.
In response, I began crafting this site to provide standards-aligned tasks that reinforce and extend learning between units, with a focus on authentic writing and skill application. While the current work centers on Grades 3–5, future phases will address K–2, where early writing development also needs intentional support.
Still in progress, PrepPartner reflects my commitment to responsive curriculum design, practical teacher tools, and purposeful instruction that empowers students at every level.
