On the last weekend of Spring Break, March 22-23, Maryland Club Tennis played in James Madison's first Spring Invitational. UMD fought James Madison A, Virginia Beach B, and University of Virginia on Saturday for standings and on Sunday. Fortunately, UMD defeated JMU and VT A to advance into the Gold Bracket as a second seed on Sunday.

On Sunday, UMD played Virginia Tech A in the first round. Despite the 2 game deficit, Jonathan Kau and Rena Shi were able to come back in the mixed doubles match, winning just by one point in the super tiebreak (7-6). In the finals, UMD had to play UVA again. Sadly, the team fell to the Cavaliers.

However, the Terps placed second after UVA among several club tennis teams in the Mid-Atlantic, like Old Dominion University and Virginia Commonwealth University.

They got to eat good food too :D
