History

The Maryland Adapted Physical Education Consortium (MAPEC) was officially established during the 2009 - 2010 school year, but holds a long history of collaboration among adapted physical educators throughout the State of Maryland prior to 2009. April Tripp (Retired, Baltimore County Public Schools), Linda Webbert (Baltimore County Public Schools), Cyndi Naylor (Baltimore County Public Schools), Mike Mason (Retired, Maryland State Department of Education's Specialist for Physical Education), and John Perna (Retired, Fredrick County Public Schools) were instrumental in the development of the organization.

Board of Directors through the Years
