Welcome to my homepage. I am a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in the Department of Government at the University of Essex. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Rochester. I am a member of the AidData Research Consortium.

I study international institutions and international cooperation, as well as development finance and sovereign debt. I also draw on and develop spatial econometric methods. My current work examines domestic and international political implications of sovereign debt and the domestic underpinnings of foreign economic policies in low and middle income countries.
