Welcome to my homepage. I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Government at the University of Essex. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Rochester. I am a member of the AidData Research Consortium.

I study international institutions and international cooperation, as well as development finance and sovereign debt. I also draw on and develop spatial econometric methods. My current work examines competition between foreign aid donors, international and domestic political implications of sovereign debt, and domestic underpinnings of foreign policies in developing countries.
