I am an undergraduate student at the University of South Carolina majoring in Marine Science, with an emphasis in Marine Policy and Coastal Management, minoring in journalism, and pursuing a certification in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Taylor Murphy (2017-2018)

I am a Senior at the University of South Carolina majoring in Marine Science, with an emphasis in Biological Genetics. My research interests involve Conservation Genetics and the evolution of a population. I am currently researching the effect of maternal and paternal genetic variations on offspring fitness in Hawksbill Sea Turtle hatchlings.

Lauren Kunselman

I am majoring in Marine Science and minoring in Neuroscience at the University of South Carolina. I worked in Dr. Tammi Richardson's phytoplankton ecology lab for two years, and I currently work in Dr. Dan Speiser's lab where I am characterizing the visual nervous system of the Florida fighting conch via ethyl gallate staining and optic nerve tracing.

Josiah Grzywacz (2017-2018)

I am a Senior at the University of South Carolina studying Marine Science, with an emphasis in Biological Oceanography, and English. My research interests revolve around the biological and ecological side of oceanography with a specific focus on the effect of anthropogenic change on habitats that allow invasive species to be so successful.
