The goal set forth by the developer and the original board was that every home owner maintain the livability of their homes based on MRHOA guidlines. This includes streets, sidewalks, painting, fencing & landscaping. The lake, paths and all common areas owned by the association will be kept in proper condition by the Board of Directors.
ALL homes in the association were plotted and recorded as part of the HOA with Multnomah County in 1978.
In 1984 the developer turned the HOA over to the homeowners to manage future development and the CCR’s. The board of directors then became current homeowners in the association. All the land at one time was used as an agricultural area with the dam being built in 1954 to create a water supply.
Around 1998 the name of the dam and lake was changed to Marpol Ridge Lake and registered with the State of Oregon as an official dam. The usage of the lake was also changed from agricultural to esthetics.
Marpol Ridge is a planned community development with a total number of lots to develop at 177. All 177 lots were developed by 2002. The board of directors are homeowners in the association and all of their time is as volunteers. Each board member (5 in total is elected to a two (2) year team at the bi-annual association meeting that takes place the first week of October, on odd numbered years. One alternate is also selected.
Marpol Ridge Lake is the center piece of our community and is for all to enjoy. The paved walking trails, viewing benches and wild life surround a spectacular lake setting, which connects to a natural green way, Butler Park and the Springwater trail.
Please do not park any trailers, RV's or boats beyond front edge of your home, next to your garage.
Trailers of any kind, RV's & boats must NOT be parked on the street. RVs & boats are less restrictive from June 15th to the end of Labor Day.
Please observe all signs posted in common areas…
Please do not throw feed in lake to feeding the ducks…in designated areas on grass...
Please help pick up any trash you may come across…
Please let the President or board member know of any hazards you may observe…
Any house being painted must be earth tone colors and board approved...
All roofs must be - cedar shakes, tile or 30 /40 year 3 tab architectural comp....
