Mark Owens

Associate Professor of Political Science

Mark's time as a staffer (2007-2009) and then APSA Congressional Fellow (2015-2016) serve as an anchor to bring real-world experience to class discussions and assignments. His courses involve simulations, professional partnerships, and technical writing assignments.

Polling Lab

Students enrolled in many of these upper division and graduate classes receive training to conduct survey research. This is an opportunity to conduct original research and understand how data is collected, giving a strong foundation to apply new knowledge.
