I am a passionate marketing educator, with a PGCertHE and over 10 years of experience in the higher education sector in multiple countries (Canada, UK and Malta).
I can teach a broad range of marketing topics, lead degrees and supervise students.
I can design and deliver teaching units at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in offline, online and hybrid settings. I do undertake the assessment and marking, coordinating across markers where required.
My teaching expertise ranges from core marketing teaching units (e.g., Marketing Communications, Consumer Behaviour) to specialized ones (e.g., New Product Development, Business-to-Business Marketing, Marketing for artistic and cultural organizations), taught in English and French.
I have consistently achieved good student evaluations (available upon request).
I value liaising with the different stakeholders, both within and outside the university. I believe in a partnership approach, involving current students, colleagues, admin teams, alumni and businesses to provide a relevant and current learning experience.
My most recent leadership position is the role of Education and Student lead for Strategy & Marketing at Sussex.
In the past, I held course leadership positions at the postgraduate level (MSc in International Marketing). On top of regular course management and coordination tasks, I am experienced in successfully restructuring curricula and securing professional accreditations.
I have a proven track record in the supervision of student research projects at the undergraduate (including the Junior Research Associate track) and postgraduate levels in the UK and in Malta. My role as a supervisor entails providing guidance and feedback in itinere, as well as assessing and marking the final submission.
Over the years, I also acted as coordinator of the final research project performing the following activities:
designing and delivery student units on research design and execution;
liaising with the admin team;
coordinating the supervisor team, with delivery of bespoke training sessions;
developing and obtaining approval for innovative pathways for the final project.
Currently, I am actively engaged with the Marketing Society at Sussex, while in the past, I acted as academic tutor supporting the Enactus team at the University of Sussex.
I have also sat on several judging panels of the Business School "Dragon's Den"-style entrepreneurial competition, alongside fellow academics and business representatives.
