About Me
Background:
My family hails from the great Willamette Valley and I truly love the Pacific Northwest of the United States. I have spent time living in Mexico, Costa Rica, Spain, and Argentina; Oregon will always be home.
Currently:
I have been volunteering as a literacy tutor at Portland Community College since 2012. I have the privilege of working with adult ESL learners with interrupted formal education. I also teach English to elderly immigrants in Portland and work with international students at Portland English Language Academy.
Education:
I received my BA from George Fox University (2008), with a double major in Spanish and International Studies and a minor in TESOL.
I earned an MA in TESOL from Portland State University (2013) and thoroughly enjoyed working as a Graduate Assistant for the Department of Applied Linguistics.
