Farrier Specializing in Difficult and Dangerous Horses
I graduated Farrier School in April 2015 and have been working as a Farrier since then, as well as apprenticed with a Barefoot Trimmer. I'm currently able to offer barefoot and corrective trims and shoeing. I am skilled at rehabilitating hooves with cracks, flares, White Line Disease and Laminitis (Founder). And I'm constantly learning from clients, horses and other professionals.
I am also a Horse Trainer and love working with and have had success working with difficult horses be they rescues, abused, neglected, young, old, wild or in pain. I’m good at finding the root cause for their behavior, be it pain, fear, lack of training or improper handling. Some horses do not actually have a training issue but rather a physical one and I have been taught to know the difference. If it's not a training issue I will let you know and I often adjust my body position to accommodate these horses in an effort to make them more comfortable. If you suspect your horse may be difficult to work with, please be sure to let me know when you call so I can schedule accordingly. I enjoy working with these horses through their issues, no matter how challenging, so they will learn to overcome issues with the Farrier.
Please contact me for an appointment! I am based out of Arlington but will travel around Snohomish County and South Skagit County. I usually travel to Arlington, Silvana, Smokey Point, Oso, Darrington, Stanwood, Warm Beach, Camano Island, Mount Vernon, Sedro Woolley, Alger, Marysville, Tulalip, Snohomish, Bothell, Monroe, Sultan, Annacortes and Whidbey Island! I will also go to places outside those areas, especially for multiple horses or clients in the same area.
Payment is due to MAES by Cash or Check at the time of service and I request someone be available to handle each horse during the appointment.
I prefer contact by **TEXT ** so I can respond between appointments and also because my voicemail and Facebook Messenger do not always notify me of new messages.
Payment by cash or check is due at the time of service. A 25$ fee will be added if a check is given to me with Non-Sufficient Funds in your account.

*If your horse kicks, bites, rears, strikes, doesn’t tie or needs work on picking up their feet and standing quietly for the farrier, please tell me in advance so I can schedule your appointment accordingly to allow more time for a Difficult Horse/Training ($40 Training Fee in addition to a $40 Trimming Fee). It may take a half hour or it may take several hours all depending on the horse's issues and I will take the time to help them but I need to know in advance for scheduling.
**Therapeutic Packages are individually designed for each horse's needs and are designed specifically to attempt to improve the soundness of horses facing Navicular Disease, Laminitis/Founder, Hoof Reconstructions, Crack Repairs or any other therapeutic work. This work may require consultation with your Veterinarian but is often complicated and time consuming. Therefore, prices may be adjusted to reflect the components used and the time involved in preparing and applying those components.
Per Appointment Services are due at the time of service.
