2027 Consolidated Election
MAPLE PARK PUBLIC LIBRARY DISTRICT ANNOUNCES TRUSTEE OPENINGS FOR ELECTION IN THE 2027 CONSOLIDATED ELECTION
The Maple Park Public Library District announces positions open for election to the Maple Park Public Library District Board of Trustees during the April 6, 2027 Consolidated Election three(3) full four- year term (ending in 2031), and four (4) two-year terms. Candidates must be: registered voters who have resided within the boundaries of the Maple Park Public Library District for at least one year at the time of filing nomination papers; not in arrears in the payment of a tax or other indebtedness due to the library district; nor have been convicted of an infamous crime, bribery, perjury, or other felony. Candidate information and form packets are available at the Maple Park Public Library District, 302 Willow St, Maple Park, IL, during the hours the library is open.
Petitions should be completed, signed and notarized, as required, prior to filing with the Library District.
Persons filing as candidates should verify accuracy of general information provided herein by referring to the “2027 CANDIDATE’S GUIDE” issued by the Illinois State Board of Elections, by consulting with competent legal counsel, or contacting the Office of the State Board of Elections, prior to the date of filing. Signature requirements may also be verified with the State Board of Elections.

The first date to circulate nomination petitions to be a candidate for a Library Trustee position on the Maple Park Public Library District Board of Trustees is Tuesday, August 25, 2026. A minimum of eight (8) signatures by eligible registered voters are required on the petition in order to get one’s name on the election ballot. Candidates must file completed forms and petitions at the library during the filing period beginning November 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. through November 23, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
