Below are a few sample lesson plans of mine as well as recent classroom activities I have designed for my students.
As part of our second unit of study, students analyzed and evaluated the use of visual, rhetorical, and stylistic features in an advertising campaign from Nike that aimed to challenge gender stereotypes. This study also tied to the course conceptual understanding of identity, as outlined below.
As a culminating activity for our study of The Stranger, students put the character of Meursault on trial to show their depth of understanding of the novel as well as tailor their communication skills to this particular context. Reflection on this activity allowed students to deepen their metacognitive awareness of their learning.
