We have a lot of pride in our holiday home, and try to provide better levels of luxury to our guests. We kindly ask that our guests in turn respect our home and treat it with the utmost of love and care. We therefore need to insist on the following conditions of stay.
Keep in mind that this is beautiful but rural Mozambique, and everything is not always perfect. We do try to minimise any discomfort, but can run into snags occasionally (like temporary power outages and other issues which are common for these parts of Mozambique).
No smoking in the house. If smoking outside, please keep the doors closed so that the smoke does not enter the house. Please dispose of cigarette butts properly and not into the bushes. We do not provide any ashtrays as we do not want to encourage any smoking in the house.
No fires in the house nor on the deck, except cooking on the provided gas braai / gas stove. Sparks & coal pieces can damage the wooden floors. An outdoor wood braai/fireplace is provide for this purpose. Extinguish all fires (gas and outside braai) before going to sleep.
Also no Doom or any other insect coils please.
Please note that this is a malaria area.
We, the owners, do not take any medication (prophylaxis) to this holiday house and have not contracted malaria yet. This is probably due to the remoteness from the local communities and possibly also due to the lovely ocean breeze in the warm evenings. Although the risk of contracting malaria is lower than other areas of Mozambique, please be informed that this does remain a risk. You need to discuss with your travel clinic and/or doctor some weeks before departing on this holiday.
In order to respect other holiday guests/residents, please keep the noise to a minimum during your stay. Any music need to be switched off no later than 22:00 each evening.
No bait (raw or frozen) nor any other raw fish in the fridge/freezer please. If you plan for any fishing, please keep your fish products outside of the house in your own portable freezer or ice box The fish smell is very difficult to get rid of in the house. Additional charges of R2000 may be charged for cleaning for this purpose if not adhered to.

Thank you for your cooperation.
