Professor Ana Fernandez Vilas (Information & Computing Lab – AtlantTIC – University of Vigo, Spain); joint us at the intelligent systems research group as a research visitor for six months.

• Research informed teaching
  2017 - 2018 MSc teaching “Introduction to Computer Forensics and Security” running for the MSc in Cyber Security; I have embedded research oriented contents and case studies within the unit. The student’s satisfaction (ISS) on the unit during the academic year (2017/2018) is 4.5/5 with 100% satisfaction.

• Research talks

  1. 2017, I have organised a series of three “Cyber Security Innovative Lectures” within the Professional Development part; for BSc Computer Science and BSc Computer Forensics and Security. The lectures were research inspired.

  2. 2016, talk titled “Data Mining from Large Data Sources - Information Extraction Approach”; to the intelligent systems research group, Manchester Metropolitan, on the 15th of Feb 2016.
