Mahreen Mahmud

Welcome! I am a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Exeter Business School Department of Economics. I am an Associate Editor at the Journal of Population Economics, a GLO Fellow, and a J-PAL affiliated professor.  

My research explores the impact of social protection programs on household welfare and interventions to enhance women's economic participation and empowerment using field experiments in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
