Position 1: Postdoctoral Research Associate
About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Associate with a strong analytical background to join our innovative research team. This role focuses on the machine learning (ML) aspects of various projects, particularly those involving spatial transcriptomics (ST) and single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq). Succussful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary tea, of clinicians and researchers to design and implement advanced computational platforms to understand complex diseases including cancers.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Learning: Develop and apply ML models to analyze and interpret high-dimensional biological data
Data Integration: Integrate and analyze spatial transcriptomics (ST) and scRNA-seq data to uncover biological insights
Collaboration: Work with experimental biologists to design and implement computational strategies and analytical pipelines.
Requirements:
Education: Ph.D. in any fields relating to Systems Biology, Bioinformatics, Biological or Medical Sciences
Technical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with conceptual and technical understanding on programming
Team Player: Able to lead or collaborate in multidisciplinary projects, excellent communication skills
English proficiency: IELTS >=6; TOEFL iBT >= 79; TOEFL ITP >= 550; MU grad test >= 80
Preferably with skills and experience in basic to advanced computer programming, but not a necessity
Position 2: Project Coordinator/Program Manager
About the role:
Join our dynamic and supportive research team as a Lab Manager/Project Coordinator. You will play an important role in overseeing administrative and planning tasks, coordinating key activities, managing procurement, ensuring lab safety, and helping create and maintain efficient and fruitful collaborative environment within the lab.
Key Responsibilities:
Organise and coordinate research collaborations
Plan lab activities to ensure the most effective collaborations within the lab
Handle research documents, including research standards, safety and ethics, collaborative and data sharing agreements
Manage research grants and budgeting
Be in charge of procurement and lab supplies
Oversee lab safety and handle related documentation
Requirements:
Education: Master’s degree in a scientific discipline
Experience: Experience in lab management or project coordination in a research setting is preferred but not necessary.
Skills: Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, proficiency in document preparation, and familiarity with financial management
Teamwork: Able to work both independently and collaboratively
Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
