Rental rates for 2027
Due to increases in the cleaning and linen costs the committee agreed a slight increase in rental rates for both properties to allow us to continue to break even in terms of income and expenditures over the year.
House rental rates are: Low season - up to July 1 2027, and 1 September 2027 onwards until festive season. £135 per night
High season - 1st July 2027 to 31 August 2027. £160per night
Loft rental rates are: Low season - up to July 1 2027, and 1September 2027 onwards until festive season. £115 per night
High season - 1st July 2027 to 31 August 2027. £130 per night

Madras Lodge Conditions of Let
1. The Booking must be made by a current member of the Queen Margaret University Graduates’ Association and that person must also be a member of the party staying at Madras Lodge.
2. Make your booking via Freetobook. https://en.freetobook.com/
3. To secure the booking a £100 non-returnable deposit is required. You will be contacted by e mail with instructions on how to pay your deposit.
4. The balance of the charges must be paid 28 days before the occupancy date. You will receive a reminder e-mail for this purpose.
5. In the case of bookings less than four weeks ahead of the arrival date the full amount will be requested shortly after the time of booking. These sums are non-refundable.
6. No smoking is allowed in either property.
7. TO COMPLY WITH FIRE SAFETY REGULATIONS, NO CANDLES ARE PERMITTED IN ANY PROPERTY AT MADRAS LODGE.
8. The number of occupants should not exceed the figures specified in the property description. Maximum House: 5 guests and Loft: 4 guests.
9. Although pillows and duvets and bedlinen, plus a tea towel and hand towel are provided guests are required to provide their own bath towels .
10. ONE well-behaved dog is allowed in each property at a charge of £30 per dog per holiday. For the health and comfort of successive tenants it is essential that all traces of the pet are cleared from both house and garden. No other pets allowed.
11. Guests are required to leave the property clean, tidy and ready for the next guests.
12. For reasons of health and safety children under the age of eight must be supervised at all times in both the house and garden areas. Their safety is the responsibility of the accompanying adults.
13. Guests/members are expected to respect the quiet, peaceful nature of the environment at Madras lodge and the main objective of its use for relaxation and restoration. Noise travels quite a distance in Gullane and therefore we ask you to respect a 10pm curfew for loud noise and music in the garden.
