Behavior Plan/Policy Overview
The behavior plan consists of red tickets with paw prints that the students earn for "PAWSitive" classroom behavior. Each child starts the week with 2 tickets. The students earn more tickets by following the rules, being responsible, kind, and making good choices. The students keep earning tickets all week. The goal is to earn as many tickets as possible, so the kids can participate in “Fun Friday”. On Friday, the students count their tickets. The student with the most tickets gets to pick his/her “Fun Friday” activity first (and will have the most “Fun Friday” time). The student with the second highest amount of tickets gets to pick his/her “Fun Friday” activity second……and so on, and so on. All Students will have the opportunity to participate in “Fun Friday”.
More about the Ticket Behavior System:
1. Every child has an opportunity to earn tickets every day.
2. This behavior system focuses on POSITIVE behavior.
3. Every child keeps his/her tickets in an envelope (labeled with their name).
4. A behavior note will go home on Friday reporting how many tickets your child earned for the week
5. It is possible for a child to lose tickets (although this rarely happens, if it does a "reteach" will be provided)
7. “Fun Friday” Activity/Center examples- Legos, computers, art, writing, board games, puzzles, etc.
I will also implement whole class and small group reward systems. Students will receive various rewards such as: extra recess time and game time.
