I am a Permanent Researcher at UNAM's Institute for Philosophical Research, Visiting Professor at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, member of the Editorial Board of Diánoia, and Editor-in-Chief of the Revista Mexicana de Lógica (Mexican Journal of Logic).
I work mainly on philosophy of logic. I am particularly interested in logicality, general theories of logic, the foundations of contra-classical logics and the universality of relevance. I have also made some incursions in philosophy of science, philosophy of mathematics, metaphysics and philosophy of language. (Fortunately, I have had a long life and I tried pottery, comic drawing, football, literary writing and homelessness before devoting most of my time to philosophy.)
I did my PhD under the supervision of Ivonne Pallares-Vega on philosophical aspects of topos theory. In the meantime, I spent a year at the Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, and after PhD completion I spent one year and a half at the University of Tartu.
