I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy and the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation at the University of Amsterdam. I am also serving as leader of the Formal Semantics and Philosophical Logic research unit at the ILLC and as an editor of The Review of Symbolic Logic.
Between 2018 and 2023 I was the Principal Investigator of the ERC Starting Grant project From the Expression of Disagreement to New Foundations for Expressivist Semantics.
Before coming to Amsterdam I was at the University of Cambridge, where I completed my PhD at St John's College and then stayed on, first as a Research Fellow at Magdalene College and subsequently as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Philosophy.
My main research interests lie in philosophy of mathematics, formal and philosophical logic, philosophy of language, meta-ethics and metaphysics. For an introduction to my work and background, you can read my interview in The Reasoner.Â
