About

The Lower San Pedro Collaborative began as a Watershed Conversation at the Cascabel Community Center in August 2017. Participants included residents, organizations and partners living and working in the watershed. Further collaboration and development of shared objectives emerged as a priority during this conversation. Following this, a group of partners began meeting and have since developed into the Lower San Pedro Collaborative.

Vision

We envision that the Lower San Pedro Watershed supports abundant water resources and wildlife habitats, productive lands for sustainable ranching and agriculture, recreational opportunities for residents and visitors, and sustained economic benefits and employment opportunities for the local communities that call this irreplaceable Southwestern landscape home.

Geographic scope

The Lower San Pedro Watershed is bound by Cascabel in the south, the Gila River in the north, the western slopes of the Pinaleño mountains in the east, to the eastern slopes of the Rincon and Catalina mountains in the west, including Aravaipa Creek and other tributaries.
