Squash CHALLENGE LADDER
The Challenge Ladder is a means for ranking our players according to their level of play. Players are added to the ladder according to estimate of their current rating (3.0, 3.5, 4.0 ect) Players may join the ladder at any time. The GOAL of the ladder is to encourage players to meet and play others at, and/or above their level.
CHALLENGE LADDER RULES:
1. This is an ongoing challenge. To continue in the Ladder, a player must play at a minimum of only once per month by accepting a challenge. To qualify the player must be listed in the "Membership Directory".
2. All Challenge ladder matches may be played at any club; players are responsible for their own reservation times.
3. The challenger will make all needed court reservations, and time has been confirmed by both players.
4. A new ball should be brought by the challenger. Use of a 2 dot is recommended.
5. The ladder results will be displayed on this web site under "Player Ranking - Club Ladder" where it will be updated monthly by month end (please report results promptly).
6. Matches will be the best of 5 games, with a an eleven point international scoring system. Please enlist a referee, if possible, or otherwise self score. We do not wish matches to be contentious or for results to be challenged by either player.
7. Players may challenge an opponent up to 6 places above their position. If the challenger wins, that player moves to the new position and the challenged player moves down one spot on the ladder. If the challenger loses, there is no movement on the ladder.
8. Players have 7 days to respond to and play a challenge or forfeit the match (extenuating circumstances may apply).
9. Players MUST be involved in at least one challenge match in a calender month period or will be dropped to the bottom of the ladder (with an inactive date displayed).
10. The winner should report the results of the match to the ladder administrator at gross.john@gmail.com
11. To avoid excess challenges against any single player, no player is required to play more then once a month to maintain their rank but may wish to play more.
12. A player should refrain from multiple personal challenges against the same player of more than once in a 3 month period.
