On Saturday November 15, 2025 our 11th annual club tournament was held with a total of 14 participants. The well contested final between Hunaid and Arish was won by Arish. The runners up were Amit and Alex. Congrats to all that participated and spectated the event. See you next year!
The tenth annual Club tournament was held on December 7th, 2024. Tony Ho performed a three peat beating Arish and in the consolation match, Eric Ng won against Hunaid in well fought victories. Will Tony Ho win again next year or will the NextGen finally break through? See you next year!

The ninth annual Club tournament Honoring Jay Arkin, was held on December 2, 2023. The division A winner was Khalid with runners up Arish and Amit. The division B winner was Riffat with Arman and Amin coming in second and third place. Very good turnout this year. Everyone is looking forward to next year's tournament.

The 8th annual Jay Arkin Club tournament was held on Saturday November 5, 2022. Tony Ho again was the champion being Hunaid Sulemanji in a close 5 set match. This is the second year in a row both members were in the final. Eric Ng won the consol gate .

LA Fitness extended its operating hours beginning Wednesday September 16th, 2020 to 8 am to 8 pm on Saturdays and Sundays and 5 am to 11 pm Monday through Friday. Squash courts remain closed.
LA Fitness reopened (after the March 16 COVID 19 closing date) on August 24th, 2020 but only offering limited hours and capacity limits. Squash courts remained closed.
LA Fitness shut down the entire club due to COVID 19 on March 16th, 2020 awaiting health care guidance.

LA fitness Club construction: Court 6 & 7 were shut down on November 11th, 2019 and court 6 opened on December 7th; it is expected that court 7 wil open sometime in March of 2020
On March 6 to 8th, 2020 Tony Ho and Mohsin Khalfan participated in the Big Apple Open in Brooklyn. Tony played at 4.5 level and won his five game first match at 9,5,-11,-11,8 against Ken Berlin and losing in four games to Milind Joshi, who was playing as the #1 seed, at -11,7,-11,-11. Moshin was the Champion at 4.0 winning his first match versus the number 2 seed against Dylan Gorman (6,6,9), then beating Jacob Eliosoff -11,6,7,10 to set up winning his next two matches in 5 games each, first against JP Milciunas -11,4,1,-12,5 and then taking the final against #1 seed Gary McCool for the winner's trophy at 9,-12,-11,8-5! Congratulations Mohsin!

The 6th annual club Jay Arkin Tournament has been postponed due to court reconstruction.
Jasdev Singh, John Gross, Mandeep Singh and Tony Ho entered the 2019 Hyder Cup May 3- 5th, 2019. Jas entered 5.0 and lost his first two games and so did Mandeep and John. John Gross entered the number 1 seed but lost his first round match in 5 games. Tony breezed to the finals winning all games and took the championship match in 5 games (-8, 7, 5, -8, 7)
John Gross and Jas Singh entered the Harvard invitational Milt Russ tournament on Nov 16- to 18, 2018. John Gross lost his first match to the eventual winner but won all other matches to win the consol final. Jas lost both his matches in a close competition.

The 5th annual Club Tounament or the Jay Arkin Memorial tournament was decided on Saturday October 20, 2018. .Hunaid Sulemaji was the champion when he beat Eric Ng in two straight games. Jas SIngh came in third. Thank you Michael and Ashok for organizing another well attended event.

Michael Lora-Michiels won the Rothenberg championship for his division on April 15, 2018. After a long period of frustration, Michael came through and won decisively in three games at 9:4:5. Congrats to Michael! Ashok Kukadia and Tony Ho played level 3.0 and Tony beat Ashok in the final . Since Tony won all games throughout play, in winning the championship, his entry fee was refunded. On the women's side Nicole Friedman, and Khushi Kukadia, and Samatha Moadel entered the 5.0 level. Friedman was beaten by Khushi in 4 closely contested games but lost in the finals at -7, 6, 9, 10 to Anna Hughes.

The second annual Jay Arkin Memorial tournament took take place on Saturday September 30, 2017 at LA Fitness. The day was wonderfully organized and Hunaid Sulemaji beat M Squilante 9/11, 11/9, 11/6 in the A division. Michael Lora Michiels won the B Division.
TO close out the 2016/ 2017 squash year, Everette, Nick, Kirk, Samantha and John entered the Hyder Cup on May 5, 2017. Everette lost his first round match as did Kirk, John made it to the quarter finals but lost to a 14 year Harvard local, Nick lost in the 5.5 level consol final in a thrilling match and Samantha was runner up in a well fought 4.5 main draw final. Team LAF well represented and well done!
Three members from our club entered the Milt Russ Harvard Club Invitational tournament on Nov 18, 2016. Both John Gross and Asad Khan made it to the quarter finals but lost in four games after winning the first game. M. Ali made it to the semi final in his group.
The third annual Club Tournament was held on Saturday October 1, 2016. The event was dedicated to Jay Arkin and was used as as fund raiser.
The winner of the top tier was Kirk Kerry over Hunaid Sulemanji 2 games to 1 with a come from behind 13 to 11 victory after being down 10-7 in the third.
Christian Brockey beat Nadim for the B level championship.
May 6, 2016 John Gross and Samantha Moadel entered the Mens' 4.0 Hyder Cup event.
Samantha won the Championship in grand fashion, winning the final 3-0 at Equinox 11-6, 11-5, 11-9. Of her four matches, two went 3 games and two 5 games.
Samantha showed great perserverance, even after getting a little bloody in a semifinal thrilling 5 game match. Congrats to Samantha Moadel!
John Gross lost his first round match but made it to the consol final but then falling in four games.

John Gross entered the Blue Devil Challenge tournament at Poly Prep for the weekend of February 5th in the 4.0 division. John won his opening match and had to default in the semi finals due to a schedule change conflict.
The Grand Open 2016 had only John Gross Participate at the 4.0 level. After a first round bye, John made it to the consol semi finals where he lost
Congratulations to Asad Kahn who won the Milt Russ 4.0 consol division versus Alan Goldberg at the Harvard Club. John Gross and Mandeep Singh also participated. John made it to the semi finals.
