02 - The Forgotten Chests
Quest 2 - The Forgotten Chests
Rewards:
Ordul Pauldron
1. Find X out of 13 treasures.
If you talk to Glenton again after completing quest 1 (The Forgotten Plantation), then he will challenge you to find all 13 of the treasure chests hidden inside the Plantation. At this point we have collected all but two of the chests, so it will be a short trip back into the Forgotten Plantation to get the last two that were previously guarded by the dangeous Cursed Tile enemies. Narroden’s defeat has removed the Cursed Tiles from 1F and 2F of the Plantation.
In the north-west quadrant of 1F of the Plantation, we can now freely access area D. Point E is a treasure chest containing a Haggler’s Insight and point F is a treasure chest containing 3 Brisk Gait items.
After picking up both of these, we have successfully collected all of the treasures in the Plantation for Glenton. If you are missing any, here’s a quick list of the 13 chest locations:
1F - south-west quadrant - 1x Window of Opportunity
1F - north-west quadrant near table with wicker chair and green doll - 2x Window of Opportunity
1F - south-west quadrant hidden behind tall crate and guarded by Justified Accusation - 1x Essence of Practice
1F - north-east quadrant in narrow hallway with dirt floor - 3x Spirit of Optimism
1F - north-east quadrant leftmost wall in area with Dollop statue - 1x Apropos Verbiage
1F - south-east quadrant in narrow hallway near hidden ladder - 3x Semblance of Practice
Attic - Upper right corner - 1x Essence of Practice
2F - After taking north-west exit from 1F - 1x Convincing Smile
1F - north-east quadrant after falling down from 2F - 1x Epiphany
2F - right wall of green tile area - 1x Vicariousness of Experience
2F - required to complete quest 1 - Dollop’s Crown
1F - north-west quadrant in north-west corner of right green tile hallway - 1x Haggler’s Insight
1F - north-west quadrant guarded by Justified Accusation - 3x Brisk Gait
2. Report success to Glenton.
Now that all 13 treasures have been collected, all that you have to do is talk to Glenton in his estate to complete the quest! As a reward, Glenton graciously gifts you one of the crab-adorned pauldrons he is always wearing.
It might seem terrible at first, but the pauldron has two non-obvious effects. First, is increases its wearer’s maximum WP by 250 points. Secondly, it completely prevents the Apathy state. Apathy is troublesome because it drains your WP each turn it affects one of the party members.
