25th ANNIVERSARY

As this was the 25th Anniversary of the Lodge a Re-Dedication Ceremony took place in the Ballerup Hall on Saturday 23rd June 1984 at 4 p.m. The ceremony was conducted by the Provincial Grand Lodge of Renfrewshire East headed by IPPGM Bro. Andrew Leckie Tannahill. This was followed by Silver Jubilee Dinner and a spot of Lodge Harmony commencing 6 p.m. also held in the Ballerup Hall. The Brethren were entertained by many excellent artists such as the Rolls - Royce choir but the most nostalgic and best appreciated turn was the Boys Brigade sketch performed by Brethren from the Lodge.

40th ANNIVERSARY

During the 40th Installation Ceremony R.W.M. Bro.Andrew Cleland presented the Lodge with Deacon's Rods in honour of his father.

The highlight of the 40th Year was the Anniversary Dinner held in Douglas Hall on Saturday 21st May 1999.

This was hosted by R.W.M. Bro. Andrew Cleland who used his musical talent and high sense of humour to thoroughly entertain the assembly.

50th ANNIVERSARY

Right Worshipful Master 2008/2009, Bro. James Lennox 

On Thursday 7th May 2009, Brethren from the Lodge attended a Civic Reception to mark the 50th Anniversary of the Lodge. Coincidentally, the Lodge received its Charter from the Grand Lodge of Scotland on 7th May 1959. The reception was hosted by South Lanarkshire Council's Provost Bro. Russell Cleary MBE, JP and held the in Council Offices, Almada Street, Hamilton.

Saturday 4 May saw the Lodge celebrate its Diamond Anniversary with a dinner in the Douglas Hall.

Guests included Bro. Rev'd Canon Joseph John Morrow, Past Grand Master, Rt Hon. The Lord Lyon King of Arms, QC, CBE;

Bro. Neil Fraser, Provincial Grand Master of Renfrewshire East,

Sheriff Lindsay Wood (Guest Speaker);

Bro. Ronald Edward Fraser Substitute Provincial Grand Master;

Bro. Frank Johnstone Past Provincial Grand Master.

Bro. John Clark proposed a fine toast to The Grand Lodge of Scotland. Bro. Morrow replied with exquisite remarks on the work of Grand Lodge. He was here this evening to present RWM Bro. John Clark with the Grant of Arms for the Lodge in his capacity Rt. Hon. The Lord Lyon King of Arms.

Owing to the untimely passing of a close relative in WSW Bro. Donald Alexander's family, Bro. Graham Clive Cuthill WJW proposed the toast to The Provincial Grand Lodge of Renfrewshire East with Bro. Neil Fraser, Provincial Grand Master suitably replying.

Bro. Ronald Edward Fraser, Substitute Provincial Grand Master proposed the toast to Lodge Douglas with WJW Bro. Graham Clive Cuthill responding in an excellent manner.

After the speeches Sheriff Lindsay Wood entertained the company with many anecdotes regarding his work as a Sheriff.

The evening came to a close with Auld Lang Syne followed by The Queen.
