Patchwatching

My name is Paul Winter and I am, from February 2018, the CDR (County Dragonfly Recorder) for VC11 (South Hampshire) on behalf of the BDS (British Dragonfly Society).

I live in Rownhams on the edge of Southampton and a stones throw from the New Forest. My main interest is dragonflies and I spend as much spare time as I can searching for and watching them. Holidays are spent in Álora with some time spent along the local arroyos and ríos. I also have an interest in gulls and spend (too) many hours looking through the Blashford gull roost during the winter months.

These pages are about local patch wildlife watching in southwest Hampshire - the lower Test Valley, Southampton and surrounds, the New Forest and its coast - and around Álora in Málaga province, Andalucía.

I have a blog which has spasmodic (mainly nature) entries and also a facebook page which also has spasmodic (mainly nature) entries. I will try to keep more systematic lists on this site
