Patchwatching

These pages are about local patch wildlife watching in southwest Hampshire - the lower Test Valley, Southampton and surrounds, the New Forest and its coast - and around Álora in Málaga province, Andalucía.

My main interest is dragonflies and I spend as much spare time as I can find searching for and watching them. Holidays are spent in Álora with some time spent along the local arroyos and ríos. I also have an interest in gulls and spend many hours looking through the Blashford gull roost.

From October 2016 I'm going to resurrect my old blog which has historical sightings to 31/07/2014. I have tried to use facebook and between 1/8/2014 and 30/9/2016 my facebook page has quite a lot of entries - mostly photographs - but I have decided I don't need the immediacy or the interaction that comes with facebook. I will try to keep more systematic lists on this site
