Event Descriptions
Descriptions of League Events
Unless otherwise noted all league events will be 18 hole low net stroke play events. Golfers pay own greens fees and event fee. Event fees will be $10 per golfer ($12 for nonmembers if they want to be included in the low net, $7 if they only want included in the skins game and contest). Event fee will be divided as follows $4 toward skins pot and $4 added to league contribution to low net pot, and $2 toward closest to pin, long drive, long putt pot.
**** In the event that no skins are won in an event. Half of the skins pot will carry over to the next event and half will go into the league pot and added to the final league payouts.
The following events will differ in format:
LJO Two-Person (Member/Guest, Member/Member)
Each league member can bring a guest Also anyone playing in the Little John Open can bring a guest. Each two person team must have at least 1 league member or 1 person playing in the Little John Open the next day. We will play 6 holes of net best ball, 6 holes of handicapped scramble, and 6 holes of a modified alternate shot. Event fee is $10 divided as follows: $4 to skins, $4 to low net pot, and $2 to contest.
Little John Open
Four person blind draw scramble. Sign up with a partner, draw pairs partners to form four person teams. $65 entry fee.
LJO League Majors
LJO Match Play Championship
League Members Only
Event Fee $20 which goes to the payouts to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
Major Points worth 1.5 x the regular event points.
Maximum number of entries is 16.
Entries will be placed in pools of 4, You will play 3 six hole matches.
Winner of each pool will advance and play 9 hole matches in semifinals and finals.
LJO Open Championship
Major Points worth 1.5 x regular event points
36 Hole Low Net Stroke Play open to all league members and their guest
$20 Event Fee ($8 added to league contribution to low net pot, $4 each 18 to skins), and $4 to contest pot. Nonmembers $24 Event fee to be included in low net $14 to only be included in skins and contest.
Anyone unable or not wanting to play all 36 holes can play 18 for $10 event fee. Low net pot for these golfers would be just among those playing only 18. Skins would be against all those playing that particular 18.
League points for those playing only 18 would be awarded as follows: 75 for 1st, 55 for 2nd, 45 for 3rd, 40 for 4th, 35 for 5th and on.
LJO Invitational
Major Points worth 1.5 x regular event points
36 Hole Low Net Stroke Play
Invitational in which the following qualify:
a. Top 5 Last Year’s Final Standings
b. All past LJO Invitational Champions
c. Win league event in the last year
d. Winner of League and Majors last 3 years
e. Top 3 in points this year after LJO Brooklyn
f. Played in all three events this year
g. Played in 10 or more events last year
h. Special Exemption - Paid league member can claim a 1 time exemption into LJO Invitational (can only be used once)
$20 Event Fee ($8 added to league contribution to low net pot, $4 each 18 to skins, and $4 to contest pot)

LJO Championship Tournament
Major Points worth 2 x regular event points
36 Hole Low Net Stroke Play
$20 Event Fee ($10 to added to league contribution to low net pot, $5 each 18 to skins)
Qualify by:
A) finishing in top 8 on the points standings (Mentink, Konkel, Prendel, Wilkins, Scarpino, Phillips, Merrill, Neuland)
B) playing in 9 or more league events during the season (Mentink, Konkel, Prendel, Wilkins, Scarpino, Phillips, Swiontek)
C) Winning any of the following events (LJO Open Championship (Mentink) , LJO Match Play Championship (Wright), LJO Invitational (Prendel)
D) Defending Champion
E) Defending League Champion
*****If you qualify for the LJO Championship Tournament but are not a league member, you must pay the full $75 league membership fee in addition to the event fee to play in this event!
