I am Liyou Borga, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Luxembourg Institute of Health, and a visiting researcher at the University of Luxembourg. Before that, I was a Research Associate at the University of Luxembourg (Department of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences), and a Junior Researcher at CERGE-EI (Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education - Economics Institute) in Prague, Czech Republic, where I did my PhD. 

My main research experience lies in applied econometrics, mainly health, labor and development economics. I am particularly interested in program and policy evaluation, the early origins and evolution of health and human capital, the role of intra-household resource allocation, and the measurement of poverty and vulnerability. 

Currently I am working on the evaluation of innovative digital healthcare services. The aim is to better understand a range of health economic aspects, including budget impact, cost-effectiveness, as well as regulatory processes and reimbursement procedures of digital healthcare services.
